A Shropshire lodge of Antient Freemasons in its third century of existence.
Welcome to "117" - a Shropshire lodge of Antient Freemasons in its third century of existence. The Salopian Lodge of Charity began life in 1810 as a travelling lodge in the Shropshire Militia, but since 1815 has found its home in the county town of Shrewsbury. Since that time "117" has been at the heart of the local community, dedicating itself to the Masonic principles of Fellowship, Charity and seeking high ideals in life. A modern working lodge keeping its proud traditions!

The Lodge meets at the Masonic Hall, Crewe Street, Shrewsbury (for directions and contact details, see Contact Us page). The regular meetings are on the fourth Wednesday evening of each month September - April, except for December, when the meeting is on the second Wednesday. The Installation meeting is held in January. Most meetings commence at 6.15 p.m., except for the Installation.
Lodges of Instruction/Rehearsal are held on the Wednesday before the regular Lodge meeting.
For precise details of meetings, and to book in, please contact the Secretary via the Contact Us page.
